Breakfast
Your rascals have a full day ahead of them. They have just spent over 8 hours sleeping and not eating! A good breakfast will help set them up for the day.
- Breakfast can be quick to prepare and still nutritious:
there are a variety of breakfast cereals you can offer your child. Fortified breakfast cereals are also an excellent source of vitamins and minerals and the addition of milk to the cereal adds calcium and protein.
- Try and avoid sugar, honey, chocolate coated varieties. Try sprinkling some dried fruit, berries or sliced banana on fromage frais or a yogurt.
If you are concerned in any way with regard to your child’s nutrition, health, attitude to food, please see your doctor who will be able to provide you with appropriate help.
